When the Spring of 2009 progressed there were things we wanted to accomplish.  First on the agenda was the cleaning up of some junk,  not a lot, but there were some piles of metal scrap that needed to be taken to the junk yard, including a cab top off an old tractor.  The woodlot on our farm had a maple syrup operation on it before it was logged.  Near the north side enterance there was a lot of black plastic sheets half buried in the forest floor.  Also there was probably several hundred yards of plastic tubing scattered throught the woodlot from quarter inch wide blue tubing to one and a half inch wide black tubing.  Cement roof shingles,  bundles of old fence wire,  and a pile of old windows.  Most of it is gone now and I will have the remainder of it to the dump by the spring of 2010.  May 3, 2010 we now have extra trees planted on the five acres of field on the north side.  Many thanks to the Lower Thames  Valley Conservation Authority and Stewardship Kent.
